That’s right we are back with MLB Sports Predictions. We have a full slate of games today so let’s get going!
Athletics at Atlanta:
The Athletics won their first game of the season yesterday, being the last team to do so. Today they are at a distinct pitching disadvantage with Luis Severino going against Chris Sale. This is an easy pick for the Braves. In fact this is our lock of the day. Pick: Atlanta (Lock)
Texas at Baltimore:
Texas is one of the early season surprises this year, and the biggest reason why they are 4-1 is because of their offense. They are averaging almost six runs a game, and if that keeps up they will be in contention. Today they go for the sweep against Baltimore. We don’t think they will get it. Give us the Orioles to get the win. Pick: Baltimore
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati:
Paul Skenes got roughed up in his first start of the year. In fact, he didn’t even make it out of the first inning. We can’t see that happening again today. The Reds’ offense has been abysmal to start the year, scoring only 14 runs in five games. That continues today. Pick: Pittsburgh
Washington at Philadelphia:
Everyone in the National League East has a winning record except the Philadelphia Phillies. While we don’t think that will continue, it is concerning for a Phillies team that is a little long in the tooth. Philadelphia did win yesterday, and we think they will win today too, giving them their first winning streak of the season. Pick: Philadelphia
Colorado at Toronto:
The Rockies scored 14 runs in their only win of the season. They have scored 8 in their other four games combined. Kevin Gausman will keep that trend going and stifle the Colorado offense, helping the Blue Jays take the series. Pick: Toronto
Chicago White Sox at Miami:
Another early season surprise is the Miami Marlins. Yes, they have played the Rockies and White Sox, which are probably the two worst teams in baseball, but 4-1 is still 4-1. We think they will make it to 5-1 as they beat the hapless White Sox and take the series. Pick: Miami
New York Mets at St. Louis:
Today is the sixth game of the season for these two teams, which means they are throwing their opening day starters. That is good news for the Mets and not so good news for the Cardinals. We like Matthew Liberatore, but we just don’t think he has the stuff to be a #1 pitcher. For that reason we are picking the Mets to get the win today. Pick: New York Mets
Tampa Bay at Milwaukee:
Milwaukee might be the most impressive organization in all of baseball. All they do is trade their best starting pitcher every year, and it doesn’t seem to matter. They just have another one come up and light the world on fire, like Jacob Misiorowski. He takes the ball for the Brew Crew today, and will shut down a Rays’ lineup that doesn’t have a lot of punch outside of Junior Caminero. Pick: Milwaukee
Boston at Houston:
The Astros have won four games in a row since losing their first two, but now face the third best pitcher in all of baseball in Garrett Crochet. The AL Cy Young race between Crochet and Tarik Skubal is going to be fun to watch all year, and we get to see both of them today. Crochet halts the Astros winning streak with another gem. Pick: Boston
Los Angeles Angels at Chicago Cubs:
The Angels are not a good baseball team. The Cubs are a good baseball team. Sometimes it is simple as that. Do we think the Angels are going to take a series from the Cubs in Wrigley Field? Absolutely not. Give us Chicago to get the win. Pick: Chicago Cubs
Detroit at Arizona:
We talked about Tarik Skubal earlier, and now we get to talk about him again. The best pitcher on the planet is facing off against the Diamondbacks, and while he won’t go undefeated this year, he won’t lose this game. We are taking the Tigers to get the win here.
New York Yankees at Seattle:
The Mariners are one of a few teams who have played 2025 playoff teams in their first two series. The Nationals and Diamondbacks are the others. That is probably the reason why the offense has completely abandoned them so far this year. Julio Rodriguez, Josh Naylor, and Cal Raleigh are all hitting under .150. That trend will continue against Cam Schlittler as the Yankees take the series. Pick: New York Yankees
San Francisco at San Diego:
The Padres have not gotten off to the start they were hoping for, limping to a 1-4 records behind an anemic offense that has only scored 12 runs. With players like Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and Fernando Tatis Jr., that will change soon. The Giants have only scored one more run than the Padres, and we have a lot less confidence that their offense will get it going. Give us the Padres today. Pick: San Diego
Minnesota at Kansas City:
Minnesota is another team that will be towards the bottom of the standings all year long. The one hope they have is when Joe Ryan is pitching. Since he is pitching today we are going to go with the Twins to get the win and avoid the sweep. Pick: Minnesota
Cleveland at Los Angeles Dodgers:
Happy picking everyone!
