The last two days have brought us a 5-16 record. That is the worst two day stretch in the history of sports predictions. We have a full slate to turn it around today, so let’s get to it!

April 10, 2026 Picks:

Pittsburgh at Chicago Cubs:

These two NL Central rivals square off for the first time this season, and we give the overall edge to the Pirates. After looking at everything, Pittsburgh is the better team right now. That is surprising to us as well, but we are going to go with the Pirates to get the win over Shota Imanaga and the Cubs. Pick: Pittsburgh

Arizona at Philadelphia:

Usually when we make picks, the deciding factor is the starting pitching. Jesus Luzardo has stumbled out of the gate this year, while Michael Soroka is pitching like an all star two turns through the rotation. We don’t think Soroka will keep it up all year long, but we think that he will be effective enough today to get the win. Pick: Arizona

Miami at Detroit:

Former Minnesota Twins starter Chris Paddace is starting in this one for Miami, and he is very familiar with the Tigers. He actually pitched for Detroit in the second half last year. That familiarity will be better for Detroit, as the Tigers win the opener in this series. Pick: Detroit

Los Angeles Angels at Cincinnati:

Chase Burns has been mighty impressive his first two starts this season. Now he faces an Angels lineup that doesn’t exactly scare anyone. Burns will have double digit strikeouts in this one and the Reds will win. Lock it down. Pick: Cincinnati (Lock)

Minnesota at Toronto:

Patrick Corbin is starting for the Blue Jays in this one. We have gotten a lot of picks correct over the years by picking against him. We don’t think today will be any different. Toronto is the better team, but Corbin scares us enough to pick the Twins. Pick: Minnesota

Athletics at New York Mets:

As of writing, the Athletics have the dreaded “Undecided” as their starting pitcher. Teams that have undecided when we make the picks don’t have a good winning percentage. We can’t see that changing today, even though the Mets don’t have Juan Soto. New York still has enough offense to get the win. Pick: New York Mets

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay:

Both the Yankees and the Rays come into this game having lost two in a row, with New York falling at home to the Athletics and Tampa Bay at home to the Cubs. The Yankees have been more consistent to start the season, and have the better starting pitcher today. New York gets the win and ends their brief losing streak. Pick: New York Yankees

Cleveland at Atlanta:

These two teams come into this game with identical 8-5 records, and are looking to keep the momentum going. The Braves pitching has been out standing this year, allowing only 2.5 funs per game, which is the best in baseball. The Cleveland offense shouldn’t scare anyone, so we are going with the Braves to come out on top today. Pick: Atlanta

San Francisco at Baltimore:

Neither Shane Baz nor Landon Roupp have been great this year, but they haven’t given up a home run yet either. That trend will continue as neither one of these offenses have a lot of power. We like Shane Baz a little better and the Baltimore offense a lot better, so we are going with the Orioles. Pick: Baltimore

Chicago White Sox at Kansas City:

The American League Central is weird. You have teams like the White Sox and the Twins that were supposed to be terrible ahead of playoff contenders like the Tigers and Royals. It is early in the season, but just further proof that baseball is funny sometimes. The Royals will right the ship today, ending their three game losing streak. Pick: Kansas City

Washington at Milwaukee:

Jake Irvin is not a good starting pitcher. He has taken the Patrick Corbin role as “Washington Nationals pitcher we love to pick against”. Today is no different. Milwaukee scores early and often and takes the win. Pick: Milwaukee

Boston at St. Louis:

Former Boston pitcher Dustin May faces his former team as the Cardinals and Red Sox square off in St. Louis. May is 0-2 this year with an ERA of almost 16. He is just not a good pitcher anymore. The Red Sox will tee off on him today and will get the win. Pick: Boston

Colorado at San Diego:

This was the only game we got right yesterday, and it took an extra inning grand slam from Xander Bogaerts to get it done. Thank you Xander! Walker Buehler is like Dustin May, a former Dodger and Red Sox pitcher looking to find his way. He won’t find it here. Colorado wins and even the series. Pick: Colorado

Houston at Seattle:

The best rivalry in the American League West is renewed today, with the Astros and Mariners squaring off in Seattle. The Mariners are looking to snap a four game losing streak behind Emerson Hancock, who was the starting pitcher the last time Seattle got a win. He will do it again today as the Mariners finally get back in the win column. Pick: Seattle

Texas at Los Angeles Dodgers:

We could easily pick the Los Angeles Dodgers every day, because their pitching and lineup is that deep. Today it is Tyler Glasnow throwing for Los Angeles, while Texas is countering with Kumar Rocker. Rocker and the Rangers will surprise the Dodgers today and get the win. Pick: Texas

Happy picking everyone!
