It was a rough few days, but we got it turned around yesterday with a 10-5 record. Today is the day we get over .500 for the month and don’t look back!
April 13, 2026 Picks:
Houston at Seattle:
The Mariners are going for a four game sweep of their American League West rivals, and George Kirby is on the mound trying to make that happen. Facing the Astros pitching staff has been the best thing for a Mariners offense that was struggling up until this weekend. Kirby pitches well enough, the Mariners bats stay hot, and Seattle gets the sweep. Pick: Seattle
Arizona at Baltimore:
As of Monday morning the Baltimore Orioles still haven’t announced who their starting pitcher is. Whenever we see “undecided” for probable pitchers we pause, and usually pick the opposing team. That is what will happen today. Arizona wins. Pick: Arizona
Chicago Cubs at Philadelphia:
Javier Assad takes his second turn in the rotation for the Cubs, while Christopher Sanchez looks to build on his success so far for the Phillies. We don’t expect a lot of runs in this game, but we think that Chicago will take the lead late and hold on for the win. Pick: Chicago Cubs
Washington at Pittsburgh:
Paul Skenes against this Nationals offense? Lock the Pirates for a win. Pick: Pittsburgh (Lock)
Los Angeles Angels at New York Yankees:
The Yankees have lost five games in a row. The Angels are throwing Yusei Kikuchi in this one, which is a great day for the Yankees to turn it around. They will win today and end their skid. Pick: New York Yankees
Miami at Atlanta:
Grant Holmes has pitched much better than we anticipated so far this season. Yes it has only been three games, but the results are encouraging. Against a Marlins team that still doesn’t have their best hitter, Holmes will limit the damage and lead the Braves to victory. Pick: Atlanta
Boston at Minnesota:
The Red Sox are still languishing in last place in the American League East, but they do have Garrett Crochet starting today. Crochet hasn’t been his usual dominant self, but that will change today against a Minnesota offense that is toward the bottom in strikeouts. Crochet strikes out double digits and Boston gets the win. Pick: Boston
Cleveland at St. Louis:
Matthew Liberatore had two good starts, before getting tagged for four runs in his last outing by the Nationals. The Cleveland offense is not great, but it is better than Washington. The Guardians will get to Liberatore early and get the win. Pick: Cleveland
Texas at Athletics:
Nathan Eovaldi has not pitched well to start the season, and now has to head to Sacramento to face the Athletics. The Athletics lineup is good, even without Brett Rooker, and in that ballpark, Eovaldi will give up too many runs and take the loss. Pick: Athletics
New York Mets at Los Angeles Dodgers:
The balls will be flying all over the lot today, with David Peterson and Justin Wrobleski throwing for their respective teams. The Dodgers offense has too many stars to take the loss here. and they will win a high scoring affair. Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers
Happy picking everyone!
