Foster Griffin and Braxton Ashcraft have exceed expectations for their respective teams so far, and now they square off in the finale of their series today. We are going to take Ashcraft and the Pirates to win a tight low scoring game. Pick: Pittsburgh

San Francisco at Cincinnati:

Chase Burns had two stellar starts and then got hit a round in his last outing by the Angels. With his talent and makeup, we expect more games of the former than the latter. That will be the case today as Burns carves up the Giants and leads the Reds to victory. Pick: Cincinnati

Kansas City at Detroit:

We will be honest, we have gone back and forth on this game. Is Keider Montero’s hot start going to continue? Will Kris Bubic deliver another solid outing. Usually we have some sort of idea, but in this one we have no clue. Since we have to pick someone, we are going to go with Montero outpitching Bubic and leading the Tigers to victory. Pick: Detroit

Los Angeles Angels at New York Yankees:

This is an easy one. The Angels haven’t decided their starting pitcher at the time of writing, while the Yankees are going with Max Fried. Fried looks like an AL Cy Young contender this year, and the only reason why we aren’t locking the Yankees is because we have already done that on multiple occasions. We want to vary that up, but we are taking the Yankees to win. Pick: New York Yankees

Toronto at Milwaukee:

Yay, we get to pick against Patrick Corbin again! In all seriousness, we don’t know why he is on a team with World Series aspirations, but here we are. We happily will take the Brewers in this one. In fact, lock it in. Pick: Milwaukee (Lock)

Tampa Bay at Chicago White Sox:

Call this one a gut feeling, but we think the White Sox win this one. We don’t have a real explanation, just the fact that we can’t pick against the White Sox and Rockies every day, just like we can’t pick for the Dodgers and Yankees. Pick: Chicago White Sox

Texas at Athletics:

Jack Leiter pitching in the triple a park that is Sacramento is not good for anyone except the Athletics offense. The Athletics will light up the scoreboard and get the win today. Pick: Athletics

Baltimore at Cleveland:

Parker Messick is another one of those pitchers the Guardians find and turn into something every team wants. He will probably be traded in two years, but right now he is a Guardian, and he will lead them to victory today. Pick: Cleveland

Colorado at Houston:

We don’t think the Astros are good enough to sweep the Rockies. That is a weird thing to write but it is true. The Rockies win today and take the season series against the Astros. What a world we live in! Pick: Colorado

Seattle at San Diego:

Luis Castillo and Walker Buehler. This sounds like a good matchup for the Mariners. Seattle’s struggles on the road are well known, but they will take care of business in this one. Pick: Seattle
