We went 7-8 in the 15 games played yesterday. Not our best, but definitely not our worst. Eleven more games today so let’s get to it!

Arizona at Miami:

The Diamondbacks have won four games in a row and are looking for the sweep of the Miami Marlins. Despite that, and an 11-7 record, they are still in fourth place in the National League West. Their is a good chance that four teams make the playoffs from that division, which has never happened before. Anyways, we like the Diamondbacks to get the sweep. Pick: Arizona

Win

Washington at Pittsburgh:

Another game between these two teams, where we just aren’t excited to talk about it. Both teams are just meh. We have to pick someone though so we are going with the Pirates to get the win and win the series. Pick: Pittsburgh

Win

Seattle at Cincinnati:

Emerson Hancock is getting the start for the Mariners, who won their first road game of the season yesterday. We don’t like their chances to make it two in a row. Pick: Cincinnati

Loss

Athletics at Chicago White Sox:

We know the White Sox are bad, but are they really get swept by the Athletics bad? We say no. Pick: Chicago White Sox

Loss

San Francisco at Philadelphia:

San Francisco looks to win the series against the Phillies, and Jordan Hicks is the man on the mound for the Giants today. Hicks has been a weakness in a Giants rotation that has been good but not great, and he will falter early today against a Phillies lineup that loves hitting fastballs. Pick: Philadelphia

Win

Cleveland at Baltimore:

These two teams are very similar to us. We think their records are going to be around the same all year long. Right now the Orioles are two games behind the Guardians, so with no other info than that we are going to go with Baltimore to inch closer. Pick: Baltimore

Win

Kansas City at Detroit:

Both of these teams come limping into this series, with the Royals being swept by the Yankees and the Tigers losing two out of three to the Brewers. Neither Michael Lorenzen nor Reese Olson move the needle for us, so we are going to go with the Kansas City offense to get it going and stop their three game losing streak. Pick: Kansas City

Loss

New York at Tampa Bay:

Taj Bradley has been good for the Rays this year, but this will be his toughest test of the season, facing the Yankees in that band box of a stadium. Even though it is in Tampa Bay, the stadium is named after former Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. That has to be awkward. With that being said, we think Bradley is up to the challenge and will get the win today. Pick: Tampa Bay

Loss

St. Louis at New York Mets:

Andre Pallante came out and absolutely dominated the Phillies in his last start. He pitched seven innings and only gave up two hits in getting the win. His only problem so far is he is walking too many hitters, which is not good against the Mets. Pallante will be a solid starter for the Cardinals this year, but he will struggle today. Pick: New York Mets

Win

Los Angeles Angels at Texas:

Kumar Rocker pitching for the Rangers? We were wrong about Corbin yesterday, but we are doubling down about Rocker today. Pick: Los Angeles Angels

Loss

Happy picking everyone!
