We went 7-7, 8-6, and 6-8 the last three days. That is not good enough! We have 13 games today to get it right, so let’s get picking!
April 6, 2026 Picks:
Chicago Cubs at Tampa Bay:
The problem for Rays’ starter Shane McClanahan hasn’t been talent. It’s that he hasn’t been healthy. He didn’t pitch at all in 2024 or 2025, so Tampa Bay is going to be very careful with him to start the season. The problem is we don’t trust the bullpen for the Rays. McClanahan will pitch well, but the Cubs will get to their bullpen and get the win late. Pick: Chicago Cubs
Kansas City at Cleveland:
Michael Wacha was scratched from his last start because he was under the weather. Now that is feeling well again, he will pitch the Royals to victory. We think Wacha is underrated and has a chance to be an all star this season. Today he will continue that feeling for us. Pick: Kansas City
Cincinnati at Miami:
The Reds swept the weekend series against the Rangers despite scoring only nine runs combined in the three games. This pitching staff is filthy, but they need to get the bats going more. They will do that today against Marlins’ starter Janson Junk, which is a hilarious name for a starting pitcher. Pick: Cincinnati
San Diego at Pittsburgh:
The Colorado Rockies didn’t think German Marquez was good enough to keep. Let that sink in. Now he is facing a Pirates team that finally has a competent offense. The Pirates will score early and often and get the win here. Lock it down, which is our first time locking the Pirates without Skenes pitching. Pick: Pittsburgh (Lock)
Milwaukee at Boston:
Boston has been terrible to start the season. They are 2-7 so far, and the biggest reason why is their offense. They aren’t hitting right now. Today they are facing a Brewers team that is 7-2 and continues to just win. We don’t think the Brewers are going to sweep the Red Sox, but they will get the win today. Pick: Milwaukee
St. Louis at Washington:
We honestly have no clue who to pick in this game. Both of these teams will be at the bottom of their divisions come September, so this game doesn’t excite a lot of people. We do have to pick a winner though, and right now the Cardinals are playing better, so we will go with them. Pick: St. Louis
Los Angeles Dodgers at Toronto:
A rematch of last years World Series has the two teams heading in different directions. The Dodgers have won three in a row with a weekend sweep of the Nationals, while the Blue Jays have lost four in a row, including a sweep at the hands of the lowly White Sox. Even with Max Scherzer going for the Blue Jays, we are going to with the Dodgers to get the win. Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers
Baltimore at Chicago White Sox:
Speaking of the White Sox, they take a three game winning streak into their series against the Orioles. The White Sox are still not a good team, but they are playing well right now. With that being said, their winning streak will end here. Baltimore wins today. Pick: Baltimore
Detroit at Minnesota:
The Twins are exactly where we thought they would be, in last place of the American League Central. Even with Joe Ryan starting in this one, we are going to ride with Casey Mize and the Tigers to win this one. Pick: Detroit
Seattle at Texas:
The Mariners offense woke up yesterday, scoring 7 runs against the Angels. Unfortunately, their pitching couldn’t hold up, as they allowed eight in the extra inning loss. Now they head to Texas to face a team they have dominated the last few years. That will continue as the Mariners pick up the win today. Pick: Seattle
Houston at Colorado:
Surprisingly, the Colorado Rockies don’t have the worst record in the National League West. They are a half game ahead of the Giants, although that will change soon. We believe that the Rockies will actually get the win today. Gut feeling. Pick: Colorado
Atlanta at Los Angeles Angels:
Chris Sale is pitching for the Braves. That alone is reason for us to pick them. Sale is already 2-0 this year, and has allowed only one run in 12 innings. He dominates again today and Atlanta wins easy.
Philadelphia at San Francisco:
Philadelphia leaves Colorado, and heads to the Bay Area to face a Giants team that can’t hit a baseball. In ten games they have scored only 26 runs, which is the worst in baseball. Their pitching isn’t doing much better, allowing the third most runs in the National League. We think that will continue, as the Phillies get the win today. Pick: Philadelphia
Happy picking everyone!
