Double Digit wins yesterday! We went 10-5 which is our minimum goal when we have 15 games. Let’s see if we can do it two days in a row!

April 8, 2026 Picks:

San Diego at Pittsburgh:

Mitch Keller is doing his best Paul Skenes impersonation, as the Pirates starter has allowed only two runs in twelve innings so far this year. Pitching is why Pittsburgh is winning games, and it will be the reason why they win today too. Pick: Pittsburgh. Loss

Kansas City at Cleveland:

In the two games that Cole Ragans has pitched this year, the Royals have scored a combined one run. You aren’t going to win many games when your team can’t push runners across the plate. We see another low scoring game today, and once again the Royals won’t score enough to get Ragans the win. Pick: Cleveland. Win

Milwaukee at Boston:

Sonny Gray pitched much better in his second start, earning the win against the Padres. Boston has not won two games in a row yet this season. Today will not be the day that changes. Milwaukee wins the game and the series. Pick: Milwaukee. Loss

Baltimore at Chicago White Sox:

The Orioles are a better team than the White Sox, but we don’t think they will sweep the series. We are picking Chicago, just based on the law of averages. Pick: Chicago White Sox. Loss

Seattle at Texas:

Like the game above, we don’t think the Rangers are going to sweep the Mariners. Seattle has lost four in a row and we have picked them all four times, so why not do it one more time. In fact, since Bryan Woo is pitching, we are very confident Seattle avoids the sweep. This is our lock of the day. Pick: Seattle (Lock). Loss (Lock Record 3-5)

Los Angeles Dodgers at Toronto:

This is a sweep we can get behind. With Ohtani on the mound, we like the Dodgers to win the game and hand the Blue Jays their seventh consecutive loss. It’s a long season and the Blue Jays will be fine, but not today. Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers. Loss

Houston at Colorado:

Colorado is not going to sweep the Astros. Even though Houston has not been good this season, the Rockies are not good enough to make that happen. Astros get the win today. Pick: Houston. Loss

Philadelphia at San Francisco:

Aaron Nola takes the hill for the Phillies as they aim to take the series from the Giants. Nola has pitched okay, not great, but against this Giants offense okay will be good enough. Philadelphia gets the win today. Pick: Philadelphia. Loss

St. Louis at Washington:

Miles Mikolas gets the start today against his former team, and we learned our lesson last time he pitched. We picked the Nationals to beat the Dodgers when Mikolas started, and he get rocked. We are not making the same mistake today. Give us the Cardinals. Pick: St. Louis. Win

Atlanta at Los Angeles Angels:

After the brawl yesterday, both teams are going to be on high alert and try to avoid pitching inside. This won’t be the case often this year, but we trust Reid Detmers more than we trust his opponent. In this case it is Grant Holmes. Detmers keeps the Braves’ bats at bay and leads the Angels to victory. Pick: Los Angeles Angels. Loss

Arizona at New York Mets:

Ryne Nelson vs David Peterson. Eesh. Talk about mediocrity. With no distinct advantage in pitching we turn to the lineups, where Arizona has the advantage because Juan Soto is injured. Arizona wins the game and the series from New York. Pick: Arizona. Win

Chicago Cubs at Tampa Bay:

We are not overthinking this one. Colin Rea is not a good starting pitcher. The 35 year old journeyman takes his turn for the Cubs, which means we are going with the Rays. Pick: Tampa Bay. Loss

Cincinnati at Miami:

Now that Miami isn’t playing the dregs of Major League Baseball they are coming back to earth a bit. The Reds pitching has been dominant to start the year, allowing only 33 runs in 11 games. With that being said, we don’t think their offense will do enough today. The Marlins avoid the sweep by winning a low scoring affair. Pick: Miami. Win

Athletics at New York Yankees:

Luis Severino makes his return to Yankee Stadium for the Athletics, and it won’t go well. The Yankees will hit multiple home runs off of Severino and will win this won comfortably. Pick: New York Yankees. Loss

Detroit at Minnesota:

Detroit finds themselves in the basement of the American League Central, and not even Tarik Skubal could save them yesterday. The Twins are aiming to take the first three games of this four game series, but it won’t happen. The Tigers get back in the win column today. Pick: Detroit. Loss

Happy picking everyone!
