We missed our lock of the day yesterday, but still had an awesome day otherwise, going 7-2. Now with a doubleheader, we have 16 games today, so let’s get to it!

Cleveland at Washington (Game 1):

We picked the Nationals yesterday, so we are picking them today as well. Pick: Washington

Win

Los Angeles dodgers at Miami:

Cal Quantrill and his 8.10 ERA are facing this Dodgers lineup? We didn’t do it yesterday (and should have) but lock in a Dodgers win today. Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers (Lock)

Loss (Lock Record 16-21)

Texas at Boston:

Nathan Eovaldi makes his triumphant return to Fenway Park, as the Rangers face the Red Sox. Texas has gone 3-7 in their last ten games, but Eovaldi is not at fault for any of those losses. He leads the Rangers to victory today. Pick: Texas

Win

Philadelphia at Tampa Bay:

Tampa Bay has turned the ship around on the road, now having a 7-5 record away from St. Pete. Unfortunately for them, they face a Phillies team that is dominant at home. Zack Wheeler leads the Phillies to the win in the opener of this series. Pick: Philadelphia

Win

San Diego at New York Yankees:

The Padres won late yesterday, thanks to the continued demise of Devin Williams. Williams will not throw in today’s game, and that will be one of the reasons why the Yankees win. Pick: New York Yankees

Win

Cincinnati at Atlanta:

The last two outings for Chris Sale have looked more like the 2024 version of the Cy Young winner, instead of the dumpster fire he was earlier. He will continue his momentum against the Reds as the Braves take the win today. Pick: Atlanta

Win

Cleveland at Washington (Game 2):

The Nationals will not win both games of the doubleheader. Give us the Guardians to win this one and we predict a split. Pick: Cleveland

Win

Baltimore at Minnesota:

With Pablo Lopez throwing for the Twins against an Orioles offense that struggles on the road, we like Minnesota to take home the victory today. Pick: Minnesota

Win

Chicago White Sox at Kansas City:

Dare we? No, we do not. The White Sox continue their futility away from home and the Royals win again. Pick: Kansas City

Win

Houston at Milwaukee:

If Houston is going to find their way out of the hole they dug themselves, they need Yordan Alvarez to bounce back. Alvarez is currently hitting .210, with only three home runs. That is not what you need after losing two of your best hitters on the offseason. With Chad Patrick throwing for the Brewers, we think his struggles will continue and the Brewers will win the game. Pick: Milwaukee

Win

San Francisco at Chicago Cubs:

The Giants looked pedestrian yesterday in getting beat badly by the Cubs. With the corpse of Justin Verlander on the mound today, we expect more of the same. Pick: Chicago Cubs

Loss

Pittsburgh at St. Louis:

Paul Skenes day! Give us the Pirates to win. Pick: Pittsburgh

Loss

Detroit at Colorado:

Chase Dollander has given up more home runs than anyone else in baseball this year, is fighting a blister on his throwing hand, and is pitching in Coors Field. Add that all up and you get an easy Tigers win. Pick: Detroit

Postponed

Toronto at Los Angeles Angels:

The Blue Jays have Jose Urena throwing in this one, who has an ERA of 15. He has only pitched in one game, but obviously it did not go well. We don’t trust Toronto’s bullpen either, so this is an easy Angels pick for us. Pick: Los Angeles Angels

Win

New York Mets at Arizona:

The Mets stole one from the Diamondbacks yesterday, but will not do so today. We like Zac Gallen to lead the snakes to victory. Pick: Arizona

Win

Seattle at Athletics:

We can’t see the Mariners having a three game losing streak, even with Emerson Hancock pitching today. Give us the Mariners to win the game and even the series. Pick: Seattle

Win

Happy picking everyone!
