We had a perfect day yesterday! Yes, it was only 5 games, but any day we don’t have a loss is a good day. We are on a hot streak right now and have ten more games today!

NBA:

Houston (-5.5) at Toronto:

Both of these teams are under .500 early in the season, but we have more faith in the Rockets to turn it around. The main problem with the Raptors is a defense that is towards the bottom of the league. That is not good against a Houston team that has Kevin Durant. We expect a big game from Durant and a big win from the Rockets. Pick: Houston 128 Toronto 115 (Win)

Cleveland (-3.5) at Boston:

Boston finally got its first win of the season, taking down the Pelicans by 32 on Monday. The face a much tougher test today in the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland is 3-1 so far this year, and the big reason why is the play of their defense. The Celtics don’t have the talent to keep up with a Cleveland team that is firing on all cylinders right now. You can have the points, we will take the favorite. Pick: Cleveland 116 Boston 102 (Loss)

Orlando (-1.5) at Detroit:

Orlando has underwhelmed early this season, but we believe in the talent on this team. Detroit has played exactly like we thought they would, an average team. There are a lot of road favorites today, and we are taking most of them, including this one. Pick: Orlando 107 Detroit 102 (Loss)

Atlanta (-8.5) at Brooklyn:

This is a road favorite we will not be taking. Yes, the Nets are bad, with the worst defense in the league so far. The thing is, the Hawks offense hasn’t been lighting the world on fire so far this year. Both of these teams have a lot of new faces, but we are going to go with the underdog to cover in this game. Not win, but cover. Pick: Atlanta 123 Brooklyn 119 (Win)

Sacramento at Chicago (-4.5)

The first home favorite of the day takes us to Chicago, where the undefeated Bulls face off against the 1-3 Kings. Honestly, we think this line should be at least three points higher. We will gladly take the free points and take the Bulls to stay undefeated. Pick: Chicago 118 Sacramento 110 (Win)

Indiana at Dallas (-6.5):

Cooper Flagg is currently nursing a shoulder injury, but the Pacers aren’t feeling bad for him at all. That is because they have injury concerns of their own, starting with Andrew Nembhard. That Nembhard injury is a huge blow to an Indiana team that is already missing Tyrese Haliburton. Give us Dallas to cover. Pick: Dallas 125 Indiana 116 (Loss)

New Orleans at Denver (-12.5):

The Pelicans are the only winless team in the Western Conference, having been outscored by an average of 14 points per game in their three losses. We don’t care. We still think this is too many points. Denver wins. New Orleans covers. Pick: Denver 121 New Orleans 113 (Loss)

Portland (-3.5) at Utah:

This is the toughest game of the night for us. We think Portland is a better team, but Utah has been playing well so far this season. The reason why we are going to go with the Blazers is because Utah’s one loss is to Phoenix. That is a bad loss. Give us the Blazers to cover on the road. Pick: Portland 107 Utah 101

Los Angeles Lakers at Minnesota (-7.5):

These two teams played last week and the Lakers won by 18 in Los Angeles. Yes, the Lakers had Luka Doncic, but the Timberwolves also had Anthony Edwards for that game. With both of those players out, we are going to go with the Lakers to cover, but the Wolves to win a close one. Pick: Minnesota 105 Los Angeles Lakers 102 (Win)

Memphis (-1.5) at Phoenix:

Cedric Coward has been everything the Grizzlies hoped he would be when they drafted him this summer. He is averaging over 16 points a game despite coming off the bench for Memphis. He will have another big game today as the Grizzlies cover. Pick: Memphis 117 Phoenix 106 (Loss)

Happy picking everyone!
